SEL resources and support in the classroom can be tailored for all students, including those with and without exceptionalities. Strategies include active listening, collaborative activities, reflective practices and fostering a growth mindset (Shelly, 2025).

Active Listening
Encouraging students to actively listen to each other, understand perspectives and respond thoughtfully. This can be done through activities such as think-pair-share or group discussions (Shelly, 2025). An example of this. Is having a discussion about a character in a story and having students turn to a partner and share their interpretations.

Collaborative Activities
Utilizing online tools can promote teamwork and relationship building. For example, assign students to work in groups to create a presentation on a topic .

Reflective Practices
Incorporating reflective writing, journals or class discussions can help students process their emotions, understand their actions and develop self-awareness (Shelly, 2025). An example of this is providing students with promotes and encouraging self-reflection.
Growth Mindset
Fostering a belief that abilities can be developed through effort and learning is crucial. This can be achieved by praising effort.
Others include- Calm-down corners, positive language, tailored support and open communication.
